Spring is in the air, and so is wedding planning. As the wedding season kicks off, more destination weddings than ever before are being planned and the Crystal Coast is being considered as a prime destination for these events to take place. For years, we have heard of local professionals wanting one local marketing organization dedicated to unbiasedly promoting this area as one of the top destinations for weddings in the United States.
A few of Bellagurl’s friends from One Harbor were participating in a retreat on Cape Lookout National Seashore one weekend in October and happened to be in the right place, at the right time.
They were able to observe a rare shark feeding frenzy on the beach shore with hundreds of sharks feeding and were lucky enough to catch it on video.
When they returned home, one of the guys posted it to Facebook to share with just a few friends. And the rest, was viral history for our little coastal town. Once they posted the video to YouTube the video really took off. The One Harbor team contacted Bellagurl for consulting on what to do with this video, as they knew it was a rare occurrence. Our team at Bellagurl was able to share the video with national media outlets such as CNN, Inside Edition and Reuters to name a few. The next day, One Harbor’s phones were ringing off the hook with news anchors and reporters wanting access to the video and their story to share on news programs and digital outlets.

Recently, Bellagurl was asked to design a visually appealing digital marketing video to show all the heart and soul put into making the North Carolina Seafood Festival the most successful and largest festival in North Carolina. One of the great things about working with the North Carolina Seafood Festival is getting to work with some of their outstanding sponsors. This year, Bellagurl was tasked with creating some unique videos for the festival. Duke Energy was excited to share their appreciation as being part of the festival and participated in a “Thank You” video to all of those attending the festival. Bellagurl worked with Millie Chalk, their Customer Relations Manager, to create something wonderful to watch and share with our community.

Their needs were much different than those of a business interested in e-commerce or events. Yes, they still want to catch leads but they also wanted to inform and educate, which were high priorites. Because this company knew exactly what they wanted, had their content ready to go (with just some SEO editing on our part), and had their photos ready to add, Bellagurl was able to create a visually rich and content driven website in less than three months. We’re popping caps around here because we’re excited to showcase the new website design for Harrika’s Brew Haus. Erika Worden, owner of the famous craft beer stop in Cedar Point came to us months ago wanting to create something different in the brew industry. Bellagurl was excited to partake and assist Erika through this process. “The design was the biggest challenge but after many drafts, we finally found a look that I was excited about,” said Worden. This site features ecommerce design for her craft beer gear, a calendar of events for all of her beer tasting and musical entertainment and it’s all wrapped into a visitor friendly experience. More importantly, the site shows her fun and eclectic side as well, something that gives you a feel of what to expect when you walk into her brew haus.
