We’re Thankful for our Clients

It’s that time of year again! The time where we enjoy cooler weather, eat delicious treats, and take a few minutes each day to reflect on our blessings. We have a lot to be thankful for this year, from good health to strong friendships, but most importantly we are thankful for our clients!

 

We have the best clients in the world. But they’re not just our clients – they’re our family, our partners. This year what we’re really thankful for is each and every one of them!

 

We represent clients all over North Carolina and beyond expanding over a wide range of industries. On a regular basis, we find ourselves working on several different, exciting tasks. One second we’ll be in the woods, crawling through mud to get the perfect shot, and the next we’ll be in a conference meeting strategizing the next realistic step for a brand. How to Protect Yourself Against Annoying Robocall Scams

Scam calls can be annoying, but what’s even worse than those calls is falling for them. Most of the time, these calls are automated, requesting information from your account or even charging you fake fees that don’t exist. This happens far too often, and though they’re illegal, individuals and companies will still try to take your money and trick you. What’s even more shocking about these calls is that most of the time, scammers will use Google to establish a false sense of credibility and lure you into their plot. That being said, there are ways to avoid, report, and end these robocall scammers’ plan of taking your money and information. Here are a few ways to protect yourself and your business:
Do Your Research
Due to the high volume of robocalls happening across the U.S. and beyond, the Federal Trade Commission has a website offering tips for handling scam calls and a registry to associate your number with the National Do Not Call Registry. There are ways to track the scammers behind these calls, and your help would be greatly appreciated when putting a stop to these organizations. You can submit a formal complaint to the Federal Trade Commission on their website, www.donotcall.gov, if you receive one of these annoying scams. You can submit the number that called you, but it’s even better to record their company, name, contact information, and follow-up documentation and give the information directly to Google because most of the numbers used to call are untraceable.
Realize When Google Will Actually Call You
Google shouldn’t call you often, but an exception would be when there’s a direct need that should be resolved with you or your business. When working with a firm, like BG Digital Group, Google will likely call us before calling you, especially for issues controlled by us in your contract. However, if Google does call for any reason, it’s usually to confirm business details on your business listing or presence on Google Maps. Additionally, no calls, unless requested, from Google will be automated. You will always speak to a live person.

Of course, one of the best measures to avoid these calls is to simply hang up without proceeding with any of the requests demanded of you, like pressing a button to speak to a representative. Just ending the call and moving on may be for the best, but reporting the number and who it is will help you avoid these calls for good and help the FTC catch the perpetrators behind these scams.

No one enjoys being scammed, let alone called by telemarketers constantly, so be sure to protect yourself, your time, and your business from scammers who dare to ruin your day. Shark Feeding Frenzy Video at Cape Lookout Goes Viral

A few of Bellagurl’s friends from One Harbor were participating in a retreat on Cape Lookout National Seashore one weekend in October and happened to be in the right place, at the right time.

They were able to observe a rare shark feeding frenzy on the beach shore with hundreds of sharks feeding and were lucky enough to catch it on video.

When they returned home, one of the guys posted it to Facebook to share with just a few friends. And the rest, was viral history for our little coastal town. Once they posted the video to YouTube the video really took off. The One Harbor team contacted Bellagurl for consulting on what to do with this video, as they knew it was a rare occurrence. Our team at Bellagurl was able to share the video with national media outlets such as CNN, Inside Edition and Reuters to name a few. The next day, One Harbor’s phones were ringing off the hook with news anchors and reporters wanting access to the video and their story to share on news programs and digital outlets.

Bellagurl Creates Marketing Video for Duke Energy at NC Seafood Fest

One of the great things about working with the North Carolina Seafood Festival is getting to work with some of their outstanding sponsors. This year, Bellagurl was tasked with creating some unique videos for the festival. Duke Energy was excited to share their appreciation as being part of the festival and participated in a “Thank You” video to all of those attending the festival. Bellagurl worked with Millie Chalk, their Customer Relations Manager, to create something wonderful to watch and share with our community.
